When do I receive an invoice?

Invoices can be downloaded directly from our website 36 hours after the rental has ended. Before you start, please make sure you have either your reservation or rental agreement number to hand. When you sign up for an online Avis or Avis Preferred account, you are given the option to opt out of receiving invoices by email. If you tick this box, your invoice will be sent to you by post a few working days after your journey.

We offer Rapid Return in over 125 Avis locations across Europe and will hand you a receipt with all the rental charges including mileage and fuel as soon as you return your hire vehicle. Once received, if you need any further explanation of any of the charges on your invoice, our Avis invoice explainer breaks down what the charges on your invoice all refer to. If you haven't received your invoice, or need an extra copy, simply request it online.
